CERTIFICATION

BRCGS

BRCGS is a market-leading global brand that helps build confidence in the supply chain. Its global standards, recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), are applicable in the domestic and international marketplace in the food processing, packaging materials, storage and distribution, and gluten-free* sectors. They set the benchmark for good manufacturing practices and help assure customers that their products are safe, legal, and high-quality.

BRCGS STANDARDS

The different BRCGS standards cover different aspects of the supply chain and are divided as follows:

  • Global Standard Food Safety
  • Global Standard Packaging Materials
  • Storage and distribution

  • Global Standard Gluten-Free *

*The Global Standard Gluten-Free certification program is not a GFSI-recognized standard. It requires that the organization’s management system be certified under a GFSI-recognized scheme (FSSC 22000, BRCGS Food Safety, SQF, etc.). For specifications on this requirement, please refer to the corresponding standard.

REQUIREMENTS

The BRCGS global standards are certification standards that can be used in the food supply chain, covering the following product categories:

BRCGS REQUIREMENTS

To obtain certification, the organization must implement the requirements of the BRCGS global standards, which are aligned with those of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

BRCGS also encourages organizations that implement its standards to comply with local legislation/regulations applicable to the country where the certified site is located and to the countries to which the food produced at the site is exported.

*Information on implementing the standards is available at www.brcgs.com, where you can download the current standards free of charge.
